We do offer direct acting 2 position 3 port solenoid actuated valves for use as pilot valves and for single stage operation with flows up to 15 l/min. A number of solenoid thrusters are available, including industrial enclosures; subsea designs and ATEX approved solenoids for use in potentially explosive hazardous areas. Manufactured mostly from stainless steel, valves are available as standard ported designs or for manifold mounting, and for use with a range of media, including air and other gases, oil, water, water glycol mixes and sea water.
BiS offer a comprehensive range of stainless steel solenoid valves ranging from the smallest low pressure pneumatic 2 position 2 way valves to the largest 1” directional valves for use with high pressure liquids. With designs for topside and subsea, an extensive options list and our renowned ability to create bespoke designs, BiS can supply a solenoid valve for nearly every application.
Direct acting valves in which the valve element is moved directly by the solenoid thruster are an ideal choice for low pressure or low flow applications.
The BiS range includes options for manual override, manual reset, many connector types and voltages, including Ex d and Ex emb hazardous area coils with power consumption as low as 3 watts.
Pilot operated solenoid valves can be used to control much higher flow rates and more complicated directional control valve configurations by utilising a direct acting valve as a pilot element to operate a much larger or higher pressure main stage directional valve.
The 2/3AS25 is a 2 position 3 way direct acting stainless steel low pressure solenoid valve.
This versatile valve utilises a balanced spool enabling it to be used in normally closed, normally open and selector configurations.
A wide variety of low wattage solenoid thrusters are available, including ATEX and IECEx approved coils for use in hazardous areas and numerous electrical connections. Override and reset options provide additional functionality for systems where the ability for manual intervention is required.
