BiS operates a Health, Safety and Environment System which fully observes the requirements of UK law and Approved Codes of Practice.
We aim to provide a safe working environment by ensuring risks in the workplace are properly controlled and encouraging the development of a safety culture amongst our employees.
We recognise that concern for the environment is an integral and fundamental part of our Health and Safety Policy and business strategy. The company is registered with the Environment Agency as required by current legislation. Disposal and transport of hazardous, contaminated or other waste off site is carried out with due regard to environmental considerations. We seek to reduce energy consumption, and encourage recycling and the use of biodegradable packing materials wherever possible.
